Clouds in My Coffee with Nail Art!

About a month ago, I managed to purchase myself a mystery gift bag from Llarowe. Contained within this mystery bag of polishes was Pretty and Polished Clouds in My Coffee. I remember wanting this polish when it first came out. SO happy it was in that bag!

Clouds in My Coffee is a gorgeous light brown mocha with various sizes of glitter in a few different shades of blue. It's such a gorgeous combination! Shown is 3 coats with HK Girl topcoat.

I wore it like this for a day and a half, and decided to do a little something extra to it! What better way than to keep with the theme of clouds and do the cloud technique! I used Zoya Breezi and Skylar to make it happen! I love this combination!

 I got quite a few ooohs and ahhs while meeting with wedding vendors this weekend. That always makes a gal happy!

LDoS Challenge- #3 Flag Day & Happy 4th of July!

Happy Fourth of July everyone! I tried to time my 3rd LDoS nail challenge to coincide with the holiday! 2 birds with one stone, and all that.

So, let's get festive! I'm all about the 4th. Sadly, I'll be working tomorrow but I'll be out in time to see some fireworks! I have many members of my family that are in the armed forces and one that will be going in soon. I am so thankful for the freedoms in this country and for the sacrifices that the men and women who serve our country make every day. Thank you!

To commemorate the holiday, I wanted to go all out with my nails. I recently won a giveaway from Noelle at XO, Noelle. It included 3 very patriotic polishes by Sinful Colors (Ruby Ruby, Blue By You, & Snow Me White)  that I was in desperate need of! (Thanks again, Noelle!)

I used Sinful Colors Blue By You on my index and ring fingers. Gorgeous, amazing blue! I highly recommend it! Then I used Zoya Trixie on my thumb, middle, and pinkie fingers. I then took Snow Me White and cut diagonally across the tips of my middle and index fingers, the took Ruby Ruby and made some stripes. I went in with my So Easy nail art brush in white and drew the stars. Then, I took Pretty & Polished Freedom Calling and applied that over Trixie. I sealed it all up with one coat Gelous and one coat Seche Vite.

Pretty and Polished's Sand Art with Neon Green Base!

I love matte glitter. I really do! Well, I love ALL glitter, but we're only talking matte glitter for this post. I used Pretty & Polished's Sand Art in a previous post, but I wanted to give it a full manicure opportunity!
Not much else to say except I used 2 coats of Color Club Twiggie as the base and 2 coats of Sand Art! Summer fun manicure for sure!

Nail Mail

So, remember how I said I had been bad...and purchased a lot of new polish?
Well...it's starting to come in the mail and I kind of wanted to share some with you. Truthfully, I feel really guilty for having purchased as much as I have...but I seriously have like nothing left on my indie polish wish lists now. Also, I think I'm indie'd out now too. I'm placing myself on a serious no-buy...honestly, I don't need to purchase anymore for quite a while!

Well, first up are my new lovelies from Pretty & Polished.

Bayou Blitz, Sand Art, and Hello Dolly
You already got to see Sand Art in action in my previous post here. I hopefully shall have some more "action" shots to show you in the near future.

How gorgeous are they?? So happy the sun decided to show up for literally, the split second it took to take this picture. The weather here has been horrible for taking pictures, but c'est la vie.

Second up are the polishes that came in my second Julep Cinco de Mayo Mystery Box. I received the crystal file and hand scrub that came in the first box, but different polishes.

I do need to address something, however. In my first Julep Cinco de Mayo Mystery Box (click to see) 3 of the 4 polishes did not have shrink wrap on them...in my excitement, I overlooked it. In retrospect, I don't know how I feel about this. It honestly skeeves me out a little....but alas, I'll still use them.

Today, I used Leah, Gloria, and Vanessa in a manicure and it is honestly a great example as to why I need to invest in a nail wheel. Ughhh is it a mess! It's wearable and I'll keep it on for a little bit, but if only I had planned my colors better! I'm so frustrated! I won't post the manicure today, but maybe once I get over my annoyance and need a filler post, I'll insert it and you can laugh at it and bring some brightness to your day!

Well, that is all for today. I'll have more nail mail soon enough.

ASBMF Challenge #7- Glitter Tips

**Warning! Pic-Heavy Post!**

So, big news over here! Basically, I've been bad. Very, very bad. I went on a spree of sorts and purchased quite a bit of polish. In my defense, they've been ones I've wanted for so long and just couldn't afford to purchase!
So with that said, I have 2 AMAZING polished that I used in today's manicure.
I'm sure you've all heard of this little polish named Floam? YES! I was able to snag a bottle of this amazingness- COMPLETELY by accident. I had wandered onto Ninja Polish to simply show my sister Floam, and there it was, right in front of me- IN STOCK! You should have seen how fast my hands flew to get that baby in my cart and purchased!
The second polish is a new one made by Chelsea at Pretty & Polished called Sand Art. I was hugely surprised by how it looked. I hadn't read the fine print on the site that told me the pictures of the polish were washed out and that the colors are actually deeper. No worries, though- it's still super gorgeous!
Both Sand Art and Floam are made up of micro matte glitter and are just fabulous!

Alright, you'll see them both in action in a minute. On to the actual manicure. I wanted a base color that would go nicely with the glitters. I finally decided on Color Club Pucci-Licious. This polish is a blue-toned purple and simply gorgeous. Try as I did, however, I could not capture the right color in the pictures! It kept leaning way more blue. In real life this polish is darker and not nearly as blue.

Then, I went and used Floam and Sand Art randomly throughout the tips.
